Messenger Plus! Live 4.01 ... coming soon

Beta testers today received a brand new beta of Messenger Plus! Live, version 4.01. The build contains new features and some important bug fixes.

A lot of programs stopped Messenger Plus! Live from running due to how they patched messenger in bad ways, however Patchou has allowed compatibility with them, some examples that caused such conflicts are Clean Messenger and Mess Patch. Also some scripting bugs have been fixed and of course the most nagged about feature is back ...

The custom emoticon panel has returned and is looking great. It now works much better and smoother than before. It also matches Windows Live Messenger's design and the panel is a lot more customisable. Anyway the screenshots will reveal all, but I can say I am glad this feature is back, I like many users have missed it dearly.

We can expect a few updates to be coming soon. Remember being an entire re-code of Messenger Plus! means new bugs could be present and Patchou needs to work hard on fixing these and adding the features everyone loves before he can take a break. The official build will arrive next week, when it is released I will be sure to post about it as soon as I know.

I go to these forms and ,they talk about MSN,or WLM,and the plus plugin thingy. And the now you here about, stuffplug 3,that is coming out soon. And you think,"msn 7.5 vs. wlm" . But I think it is really "plus! live vs. stuffplug 3." only because you don't need the plus! anymore ,to run stuffplug 3,and it have more features in the new and soon to be out ADD-ON.

no i never used the leaked beta's. i just know that the beta validates whether the current user is a tester or not, and if they aren't it ends the msgpluslive process and removes it from startup.

becoz the beta can't validate itself on the msgplus server. :: But it does. It validates itself on the server. And by access to the betas, I take it you used leaked betas?

considering i know how the beta versions work, becoz i've had access to a couple. i know that the process is canned when messenger loads, becoz the beta can't validate itself on the msgplus server.

it won't work anyway. you need to be a validated msgplus live tester otherwise it just closes the process on load.::::

Do not give information that you are not 100% sure is accurate. As beta testers, me and Val know more about this subject than you, and it is a bad idea to give information which could possibly be inaccurate.

Please note that no matter how much you ask any beta tester, Messenger Plus! Live will not be leaked. There is no point looking like a noob and bothering testers to leak something, it wont happen!

does this mean that WLM won't crash when launched by MSN Explorer anymore?

with MsgPlusLive installed, the wlm process opens for about 5 seconds then closes, so i have to launch messenger before msn explororer?
