Celebrate Messenger's 7th birthday

This coming Saturday is Messenger's birthday, and what better way to celebrate than with free content for it. The first version of MSN Messenger was released on July 22 1999 and now 7 years on, and with a name change, it is more popular than ever as Windows Live Messenger.

To celebrate Microsoft has got three of the main paid downloadable content providers for Messenger - 3H, Kiwee and Quebles - to make some content especially for the occasion and to offer it to download for free. They are providing one pack each and between them are offering winks, backgrounds, emoticons, display pictures and dynamic display pictures.

Leah from the Windows Live Messenger team is encouraging people to share, spread and use the content with all your contacts and place links to the download pages on your blog. On the actual birthday (Saturday) the number or downloads will be counted up.

Download from:
3H
Kiwee (formerly Blue Mountain)
Quebles
