Windows Live Messenger: 8.1 beta soon to come

Chris4 reported that a new connect website survey was up today. The survey is meant to invite connect users to beta test the new Windows Live Messenger 8.1 version. It seems that after a "rushed version" Microsoft has decided to start a new testing phase, probably to wipe out the remaining bugs, and to test the Yahoo! Messenger compatibility.

Let's hope that they can wipe the major bugs out and release a version that is safe from password stealers. Maybe this time, Windows Live Messenger users will be able to always stay online, instead of randomly getting kicked off Messenger. Good luck to the Windows Live Messenger developers team!

@ signin: They keep fixing it, but it's probably server side. let's hope they can do something about it though.

@ Nathan: Same here, because when you sign up for connect, you have to choose a group, so I chose that one since younger people were not allowed.

Yeah, I think they should have a good look over how they place stuff such as the ads etc.

Well I did sign up, I still think Windows Live Messenger has got to be one of Microsoft's worse softwares at the moment and it needs much better testers and a hard look at its source code. It runs too slow and encounters too many troubles and annoyances
