UK users get Radio 1 tab
Posted by absorbation on 24 Mar 2006

Tabs, the thing on the right of your contact list which most of us never even notice. Most users dislike them and never use them but the majority of people have them due to the fact they do not know the feature can be turned off. Ah, tabs, so confusing and so pointless, just like this post really.

So, where am I getting at? Well UK users have a new tab from BBC Radio 1, which gives users a fun range of extra stuff to enchant MSN and Windows Live Messenger. You can listen live, or listen to previous shows, and find the latest music news and gossip. However, the great feature is finding the music you love; using an integrated search from the type of music you like it compiles a flashy list. Nice eh. Thanks to the andyman for reporting this.

If you really want a Radio 1 tab then use TabServe and make a tab with this url: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio1.shtml - if you need any help with TabServe then ask on our Community Forums.

I believe that the tab is no longer available as the promotion has ended (most tabs are only put there to advertise things, and the advertiser has to pay for the tab/advert)
