After our previous exclusive on some of the other icons changing before the release of the final version of Messenger it looks like Microsoft still aren't satisfied with some of their icons.
The new sharing folders icon is a lot less XP style and a lot more Vista style, and matches the one in the "dashboard" area at the top of the main contact list.
The screenshot also seemed to show that in future there may be an option to not display a contact's email address after their personal message in the conversation window.

Messenger Stuff
1. Backup msgsres.dll so that if you screw up you don't have to reinstall/repair messenger.
2. Open msgrvsta.thm in Resource Hacker.
3. Navigate to Version Info - 1 - Language code
4. Right click on the language code and delete the resource.
5. Go to File - Save As...
6. From the "Save as type" area, change the drop down to "Resource Files (*.res)" and save the file as vistathm.res
7. Open msgsres.dll in reshacker.
8. Go to Action - Update All Resources...
9. Select the vistathm.res and click ok.
10. It should tell you that 7 resources were updated.
11. Save msgsres.dll
12. Start messenger again.
