Messenger Plus! Live ... public beta?

Grab your hats guys I just read some exciting news. Messenger Plus! Live I know you all want it, want it bad, and unless you are tester you can't have it. But in the last half hour or so Patchou, the creator of this amazing program said that 2 weeks in May he cannot work on the program.

So ... Patchou may release a public beta of Messenger Plus! Live and delay the official release for a later date. It was expected about 2 weeks after Windows Live Messenger was offically released. This is not the first time, last year 3.40 public beta of Messenger Plus! was released because Patchou went on a week trip to Paris, to find out more about MSN Messenger.

Yet, he has confirmed nothing yet, but if you want it, it could be hopeful news. For me, well I already have the beta and I do think it is coming to a good stage for release, yet I do think people's suggestions are important and this could make the official release even better. Remember nothing yet is confirmed.

No, Nothing - this site does not give out illegal downloads of Messenger Plus Live as it is still in private beta.

I just saw on a site that the next beta is 4.0.0.220 so I was close with 224 lol

I understand that you can't leak the beta, so I'll just have to wait :-(

Close lol, but there has only been one build leaked. Testing is based on trust and leakers are dealt with harshly. As for sounds, there next on the coding list. Already built in sounds have been but back in. But custom sounds is not done. Patchou won't release MP!L until custom sounds is coded and tested.

What I miss in MP is the feature to send sounds and songs in the messenger chat window - perhaps you couldn't tell me what build number the new one is?.. something like 4.0.0.224?.. lol

I do see your point. The new build is really nice, next post about Messenger Plus! Live I'll tell you some new features. Also if people have problems with the gui or have any major suggestions, it helps get the publics view on things.

I actually want to be a beta tester but I missed out on it - I don't use MP!L for leaking but only for testing and reporting bugs, even the other day I reported a bug with the build 214, but you said it's old so what's the point using an old build for testing.. lol

As a beta tester I can't leak you the beta. The beta is there for testing for bugs. To be honest it is a really boring job all the stuff I have to write up. And with every beta we need to complete certain tasks.

lol so why can't i get them because to be true with you, Messenger Plus! Live is actually downloadable everywhere you look now - use [link removed] for example, search "Messenger Plus! Live" and you can see. But, I mean if there is a beta released everyday then could SOMEONE send me the latest?

That build is still old. There is a beta released every other day.

Well, I've been looking for the new build 219 everywhere, and I would be really appreciated if I could get it somewhere very soon

Yes, the comment has now been deleted. That version is really buggy anyway. Patchou has said more on this now and he thinks the public beta is a last resort.
