We people from Great Britain are officially MSN Messenger addicts now with 10 million of us using it. The figure may seem small compared to the 180 million users using Messenger, but the UK only has a population of 60 million people and thus meaning 1/6 people use it.
In the UK, 3.7 billion messages are sent every year and the average user has 51 buddies on their contact list. These figures are impressive to me; I never knew it was this popular.

"The growth of MSN Messenger really is a phenomenon. It is amazing that in such a short space of time a sixth of the UK's population now use the service to keep in contact with friends, family and work colleagues, no matter where they are in the world."
