MSN Spaces has not been around for long, it came out of beta phase in April last year, and if I remember correctly, one in six blogs are now owned by MSN Spaces. All this has happened within a year and a half since the public first saw it. The huge amount of users is probably due to all the integration used in MSN and Windows Live Messenger. I wonder how far MSN Spaces will grow this year.
A press release about this from Microsoft also confirms that "the next version of MSN Spaces, called Windows Live Spaces, is expected to launch later this year with additional functionality including a social networking service and the ability for developers to create gadgets, new features developed by hobbyists and partners, that can be added to a Space by users".
