There are now three bots in the gallery on the Invasion of the Robots website.

As we already mentioned, this new contest aims to get people to develop MSN/Windows Live Messenger chat bots, using the 3 free SDKs provided.

However, all the bots currently submitted and in the gallery are made by Microsoft employees - I guess they are just trying to motivate the rest of us!

So far the 3 bots are:

• Encarta Instant Answers - encarta@botmetro.net
  "I am a smart computer who can bring you the Encarta info you want right in your IM window! Here are some questions you can ask me:
  - I want to see the map of Italy.
  - When was Leonardo da Vinci born?
  - How many calories are there in an orange?"
• "W" - dubyabot@hotmail.com
  "Quotes from our fearless leader." (a George Bush impressionistic bot, answering in Bushisms)
• Santa Robot - santa.robot@hotmail.com
  "Santa's digitial helper! The Santa Robot is currently on vacation, but when he return he'll help you find gifts and get into the holiday spirit. In the meantime you can find out a little bit about where he is and how that well deserved vacation is going." (note: unfinished as yet)
