Windows Live Messenger offical release leaked?

Posted by absorbation on 10 Jun 2006 (1901 views)
I was viewing some forums around the web, and suddenly I found a thread leading to some great information. Apparently the final version of Windows Live Messenger has been leaked by the Hotfix. However, they will not upload the beta until 5:00 PM DST for some reason. This news does sound positive, we now know it is 6 days away to the official release of Windows Live Messenger (apparently), and it makes sense to release a final beta to selected testers. But with no real evidence we could be following something fake. I will post more on this when I have more information.

Edit: They deleted their post and all trace of the information. Some people did pay money for the beta leak, but received nothing. Looks as if this was a scam for getting money. Like said, evidence was bleak and you cannot trust everything without the full facts.

I would like it. At least, we may find what really is in it, with some effort. You can send it in a public email to msgstuff[at]msgstuff.com

I have the rar file if you want it, but it's password protected and no one can get the password. I've tried a bruteforce attack on it, dictionary attack, I've tried cracking it and nothing solves the password. It is a fake because no one would need $2 for a file, then not receiving it because of a password, it's insane.

I feel really mis-lead by the hotfix at the moment. Some people did pay, thinking they would get the leak.
