Soon: @live.com and @windowslive.com email domains

The offical Windows Live Mail Blog is reporting that from the 20th of June, 2 new domain's (@live.com and @windowslive.com) will be available for sign-up with Windows Live ID, you can use them for Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Family Safety Settings, and www.live.com etc.

This is great, I've been waiting so long for a possible @live.com/windowslive.com email address being available. Make sure on the 20th of June you sign up fast, as I'm sure they will go quick! But of course we will try and remind you.

Update: (15/June/06) It seems the blog post has been pulled, I'm not sure why though.

Update 2: Betanews is reporting that the domains will not be available on the 20th as the company is still working out some last minute tweaks and the new domains for Windows Live ID will debut at a later date.

Microsoft have most slowest servers. they can't handle current no. of users, how will they manage more domains n more users. its really ridiculous...

It's too late, MS has still not released its new domains. They seem very lazy. :-(

Yep, my hotmail-email address is starting to get old now and its too long. There will be more shorter names available because there only newly released , even the @live.com domain is short
