Oh noes, there is another prediction about the release of Windows Live Messenger *cries*. Well lets go over the last week of these rumours ... Win Future originally said this Friday (16th June) would be the release date although they did not mention their sources, but later they posted this had changed which just sounds fishy to me. Then the Hotfix claimed to have the official release and were charging people to download only to discover the .rar file was encrypted, d'oh, this totally ruined their reputation. This whole thing is like a curse over the last week and low and behold today another one, which may look slightly better...

Lapytish, a French website (I do not know what they actually are apart from French), claims that the release date will be this coming Monday (19th June).

The reason for it (thank goodness) is that the internal launch party is being held on the same day, so the release is most likely near then. But of course this is not 100% confirmed and may not be true. If the release is not by Monday, then well I will make up a date and gets tons of hits here, hurray. I just wish Microsoft would just tell us a date that is final, but last minute bugs means they can't really do this.

Another possible reason that this could be the release date is the fact that, as we previously reported, the new @live.com and @windowslive.com email addresses are available on the 20th - the day after. This could also suggest that the release date will actually be the 20th, and that Windows Live Mail may also be released on this day, so that all new @live.com and @windowslive.com addresses use the new service. This would mean that our earlier prediction that Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Mail would be released on the same day, sometime in June, would be correct.
