BuddyFuse is an add-on that integrates Twitter, Google Talk and the social networking website, Hyves into Windows Live Messenger. We've been talking about it over the past couple of months, giving previews of its development cycle and today its creator Juzzi has released a build for public download.

In the current version, you can add your accounts from Google, Twitter and Hyves (a popular Dutch social network). Once you have added your Google account, all your Google Talk chat contacts will be loaded into Messenger. When your friends are online on Google Talk you can chat with them just like with regular Messenger buddies. Our Twitter support currently means BuddyFuse can automatically Tweet your Messenger personal message status updates. In the video below you see how everything works

BuddyFuse has been in private testing for some months now and with new features on the horizon the program should shape to be one of the most popular and useful add-ons for Microsoft's hit IM client.

Last month we talked about BuddyFuse web messenger, the first of its kind to use the Windows Live Messenger library and Web Toolkit to chat to contacts. This however, is just a side project to the real BuddyFuse application which aims to integrate Messenger with popular social networking websites as well as adding compatibility with other IM clients such as Google Talk.

BuddyFuse integrates networks such as Google Talk, Twitter and Hyves into Windows Live Messenger. It is an addon for Windows Live Messenger that seamlessly enhances your chat experience. BuddyFuse will soon be available for you to download. The program will be free to use and does not contain any spyware or malware.

Integration is key within BuddyFuse

BuddyFuse is currently in private beta testing and is already shaping up to be a useful add-on for Windows Live Messenger. Although there is still a lot of work required, the idea of adding compatibility with more IM clients and social networking websites will make this a must-have application by the time BuddyFuse enters public release.

So far I'm impressed with BuddyFuse, and I know its developer is very capable of creating high quality products while being very familiar with MSN/ Windows Live Messenger. Hopefully it won't be too long before BuddyFuse becomes publicly available.

This here is what I call an overdue post and something I've been meaning to talk about for a while now. BuddyFuze is a project in development by an old Messenger developer commonly known as Juzzi. The program builds on the simple idea of integrating social networking applications such as Facebook and Twitter with Windows Live Messenger. To lift from their own product description "connecting the social" is at the heart of BuddyFuse.

Although the main program isn't available to the public at this time, its web messenger service is. What makes it unique is the use of the Windows Live Messenger library and Web Toolkit allowing users to use the their Microsoft IM client directly through Windows Live itself. BuddyFuse thus receives no user information or data which can be argued as adding significant privacy benefits.

Because BuddyFuse is designed with Windows Live Messenger in mind it aims to take advantage as much as the web API has to offer in a clean and simple layout that is familiar to Windows Live Messenger itself. This new web messenger launched just last week and is most likely to be accessible through all schools and work places for the time being.
