Right this very minute Messenger Plus! Live was official released to the public. This post has been pre-written so I could publish it the second it came out. Over its progress I have provided you with news and updates about the program and I hoped it helped.
Messenger Plus! Live is an entire re-code of Messenger Plus! providing you with many features to uplift your messenger experience. But I am sure most of you already knew that. Probably the best new feature is the new scripting engine. Scripts are replacing plugins for the better, they are easy to code and to create, and they are just as advanced as plugins were. Soon a full database of scripts will be right here on Messenger Stuff.
Messenger Plus! Live matches Windows Live Messenger's design, so it appears to directly integrate itself with the program. All the great old features are now back like tabbed chatting and coloured names. No real new features have been coded, but in future versions you can expect some great ones coming. The program may have been leaked on two occasions, but many changes have happened since then, tons of bug fixes and some important features have been coded back in. Generally the program is now ready for the rest of the world to enjoy.
I have really enjoyed testing the program, giving my suggestions, fixing bugs etc and now it is ready I hope you enjoy Patchou's and all the tester's hard work pumped into the program. But don't let me nag on, download and use, I mean it's the best way to find out about the program.

This news is so fresh it is burning my fingers, 3 minutes in fact ago it was announced. Messenger Plus! Live will be out this Saturday, officially at June 24th, at 23:40 GMT, ending its testing period. Messenger Plus! Live is an entire re-code of Messenger Plus!, with a hot new interface and dramatic improvements on old features.
I have really enjoyed testing this product, really it has been fun. Hopefully you will be pleased with the result, and my bug reports helped you gain a better messenger experience. As soon as the beta is out it will be posted here, I will prepare an article so it can be published instantly. Keep your eyes pealed, maybe subscribe to our RSS feed. I have provided you with in depth news about the program over its development and I hope it helped you gain a wider knowledge of it. Believe me Messenger Plus! Live is worth the long wait you have experienced.

Over at the Messenger Plus! forums, Patchou has said that we will know the release date for Messenger Plus! Live from tomorrow. He has been dropping a lot of hints:
When this date is announced we will bring it to you as soon as we can, and you can be amoungst the first to know. An idea of when it will be released is around two weeks after Windows Live Messenger becomes offical, which should be soon now.

Thanks to Matti for the info.

I'll announce tomorrow a final release date for Plus! Live.
I should make an announcement about this tomorrow
Yep: just wait for Messenger Plus! Live (soon), you won't have this problem anymore

With Messenger Plus! Live near some form of public release (beta or final), a scripting documentation has been released for developers. Messenger Plus! had the ability to use plugins within the program, it provided additional API's and made hooking onto MSN Messenger as easy as pie. Scripting is just as advanced, but can be made simpler. It has a new variety of hooking techniques in an easy to explain way, and the code now is in JavaScipt. Do not worry if you code in Visual Basic or C++, you can call functions from a .dll, using JScript just makes things a lot easier.
Of course scripts have been coded already, beta testers have really enjoyed using the feature, and a lot of bugs and problems have been found and fixed. At first the scripting engine was basic, but now it is a lean mean messenger changing machine. Soon Messenger Plus! Live and numerous scripts will be out, and I plan to have a database full of them right here when they do.
It also seems that msgpluslive.net, the new website for the program, has been password protected, probably due to an upcoming release. Thanks to Mattike for word on that.

A few weeks ago Chris reported a public beta of Messenger Plus! Live would be coming within 30 days. Well with the recent news that Windows Live Messenger could be released on the 16th of June, Patchou has now decided if this rumour is true he will officially release Messenger Plus! Live 4.00 within a week of the release of Windows Live Messenger.
Patchou has started finishing off his final betas, adding the old features back in and adding links etc. There is also a scripting documentation being complied as well as a new website. The beta testing phase has nearly finished and despite unwanted leaks, development has come on really well. The next version of Messenger Plus! Live will re-add all the old favourite features of the program and maybe a few extra surprises along with it. The entire recode of the program has meant that it is much more professional and hopefully near fully free of bugs.
I personally have really enjoyed testing the program since March when the first build came to me. 20 builds later it is nearly ready for final release and with the hard work pumped into the project it will be worth it.

Since Patchou has returned from his trip to Disney World, official testers of Messenger Plus! Live have received two new builds. These new builds are very exciting as they have been complied in release mode for the upcoming public beta, just to make sure there is nothing majorly wrong. Along with a heap of bug fixes the new builds have brought back an old feature, contact information.
Just like in older builds the contact information window displays:
Now as a bonus, it displays your contact's display picture as well and has an added twist that gives you the chance to save it to file, working as a display picture stealer. So now we have a display picture stealer that works with Windows Live Messenger, integrated in a great add-on. However, you can only steal their current picture and not previous ones.
These new updates look as if Messenger Plus! Live is coming close to release. Patchou, the creator of the program originally thought Windows Live Messenger would be released in April, but now it is June and there is still no sign of a release date, this means more and more features are being added to Messenger Plus! Live. It is about 17 odd days away to the public beta of this program, so keep your eyes pealed for it.

- The last time a contact was online
- The last time you had a chat with them
- Their email address and display name
- If they have Messenger Plus! installed
- Displays recent events of the contact

Patchou has posted a thread on the Messenger Plus! Forums saying that we can expect a public beta version of Messenger Plus! Live within the next 30 Days. Patchou has stated that the beta version will be a "pretty reliable product". I think this is a good move, as Windows Live Messenger is still in beta it will be good for the public to test out Messenger Plus! Live.
Patchou has just returned from a 2 week break in Disney World, and is catching up on what has been going on. He has noticed the huge demand for the product, and because of Windows Live Messenger's new big promotion, more and more people want Messenger Plus! Live. The beta will be as stable as possible, and not be meant for reporting bugs etc, but to make people happy using the software. However, this is not the first news of the public beta, already we fished out some news, that no one took seriously, looks like we were right after all.
When the beta is released, you can find it right here.

Today testers received a very special new build of Messenger Plus! Live. Custom emoticon sounds have been 100% recoded back in, so has the auto accept feature. Also events notifications have made an appearance. Patchou has also stated that a new design will soon be coming to the program to match the latest Windows Live Messenger build, so it seems everything is coming together now.
Events notifications is a new feature, which has been on my list for a while. You select the contact/ contacts you want and you can receive notifications on what they do. For example, when they change status or sign and a toast notification is displayed when they do.
Custom sounds have been improved. Sounds can last up to 12 seconds now, and with improvements on getting random sounds and using the library all up and finished, we are looking at a very professional Messenger Plus! Live. Bugs are being tested for right now, this is a major new build, and all sorts can happen. Remember there is no leak, I am an official tester, and I will not provide any leak for you. You should be looking forward to the official release it really is an improvement of everything you have seen.

Well it seems a lot of external websites link to this website and they are after news for Messenger Plus! Live, so why should I stop that? Yes, I have news and I may as well post it. So a lot of progress has been made and you guys can hardly see it (even those with the leaked beta, yes a lot of progress has been made since then) and now we can talk about it I may as well get some stuff in the open.
Patchou has always refused to release a public version of Messenger Plus! Live if the custom sounds feature is not coded. And believe me custom sounds it hot, it is beyond the most used feature of Messenger Plus! and provides sending any sounds to want to your contacts. Now with an update, Patchou has started recoding them back in. There have been several server updates in the last few weeks to prepare for the new code and a sounds button now hooks onto the conversation toolbar. However, adding sounds and using soundpacks still needs to be done and Patchou has disappeared for a while he does that.
Another feature is the quick texts. This enables you to overwrite a message you send. For example if you type 'g2g dina', Messenger Plus! Live will turn it into 'Got to go for dinner now see ya'. And the feature works a charm, and for added protection, a flood limit has been coded. But all in all, it has been bug fixes and adding more features for developers in recent weeks, but next big feature I promise to talk about it. P.S There are no leaks for this build ... no really, just news.

Grab your hats guys I just read some exciting news. Messenger Plus! Live I know you all want it, want it bad, and unless you are tester you can't have it. But in the last half hour or so Patchou, the creator of this amazing program said that 2 weeks in May he cannot work on the program.
So ... Patchou may release a public beta of Messenger Plus! Live and delay the official release for a later date. It was expected about 2 weeks after Windows Live Messenger was offically released. This is not the first time, last year 3.40 public beta of Messenger Plus! was released because Patchou went on a week trip to Paris, to find out more about MSN Messenger.
Yet, he has confirmed nothing yet, but if you want it, it could be hopeful news. For me, well I already have the beta and I do think it is coming to a good stage for release, yet I do think people's suggestions are important and this could make the official release even better. Remember nothing yet is confirmed.
