MessengerDiscovery Live is a very popular Messenger add-on with a fair few technical issues. However, the ideas made are some of the most interesting and unique changes you can make to Windows Live Messenger. The past week has been various updates the to the program, the latest being 1.4.7924. The main changes are:

• Parental controls (eg. only allow certain accounts to sign into Messenger)
• Allow conversation windows to stay open after you sign out
• Temporary blocking
• Automatically decline group conversations (something which should be in Messenger itself!)
• New commands that shortcut various Messenger tasks
• Vista style settings interface
• No more ads in the installer and tray menu

All in all this is a pretty straightforward update, but a significant one nonetheless. More interesting for you guys through is a competition is being held to win one of three iPod classics (read the rules here).

Just a quick post here to alert you about a new version to the feature packed MessengerDiscovery Live. The 1.3 update contains many new features as well as improving on others and fixing over 20 known bugs. Here is a small sample of the changes:

• The program is now compatible with Windows Vista
• The settings of the program are now more customisable
• New icons have been added to the display picture manager to zoom in/ out
• Support for dual monitors has been added
• You can now change your status by commands
• The history logger now logs personal message and nickname changes
• Improvements on various commands

Just a quick post here alerting you that an update for MessengerDiscovery Live has been released. The update essentially 'fixes' bugs in the program, has re-designed aspects and is now fully compatible with Windows Live Messenger 8.1.

Of course the program contains some exciting features, although some do not come together too well. That being said I do believe the new features such as the display picture manager are pretty hot. Enjoy!

Well well well. It seems the popular add-on, Messenger Discovery Live, an update to Messenger Discovery is nearly ready for its official release, and to make sure everything is going to plan a beta has been dished out to the public. The new 6 months of code is now fully compatible with Windows Live Messenger and contains some exciting new features, such as spell checking and a new contact manager (very nice indeed).

There are heaps of features in the program, some unique and cool sounding ones at that, but as always, there is some criticism. The way it hooks onto messenger is not always user friendly, and still it uses the system tray to show what is going on. Also positioning and design of things just seems a little unprofessional. However, bugs don't seem to be such a huge problem this time, and because it is a beta things can change and if they do, wow, this program will be a Windows Live Messenger must. Give it a try today!

Leaks are everywhere these days. Messenger Plus! Live has really stirred things up but yet another popular add-on for MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger has been leaked, this time the famous Messenger Discovery Live.

Messenger Discovery is known, for one thing, bugs. It is completely laced with them; the creator has been accused of sloppy coding or rushing the program. Personally, I think it is rushed. It has tons of features, a lot that look bad and hardly work. That being said, I think Messenger Discovery Live has changed this. But no, not at all. Still the same problems as before, yet I must say it seems a little better.

There are some features that I love, nice things like changing the 'MSN Messenger' text and re-signing in if messenger signs you out. The system tray problem has also be looked at, this time you have the option of adding the program to your system tray, but if you don't a floating menu appears instead, and it is rather ugly. Yet, I hope that this is a rough beta phase and maybe these bugs will be fixed in the future and if it is, you are waiting for a great program.
