When winks arrived in MSN Messenger 7 they were throttled by security methods and over-priced websites selling them. Nowadays winks have been opened to affordable, if not free programs that add some unique and fun content.

Project Messy beta is an upcoming program that aims to provide free winks in a well designed application:



The website is well designed and I can see great things for Project Messy. Hopefully it will not conflict with other Messenger add-ons and thus hinder its success like SweetIM did.

You can beta test the program by signing up at the homepage. However, Project Messy beta is only XP compatible at the moment so Windows Vista users will have to wait a little while. Windows Live Messenger 8.5 beta also is not supported.
